Yesterday was a really good day for Ray. He not only went out briefly with Chelsea, but he even hung around downstairs for a good part of the day! To me that's a win. Come to think of it, he even made dinner!
Now this is not to say that he isn't limping and in pain, he most certainly is, but he felt well enough yesterday to push past and join the family for the first time in two full weeks. Up until yesterday, he'd make his way down, try to sit or lay down and within ten minutes the pain was intolerable and he hobbled his way back up to his bed.
I'm trying to get him to think more about the cruise. Bum leg or not, we're cruising in 21 days by my count. If I had ink for the printer I'd print out some of the highlights of being in Haven and give him something pleasant to daydream about.
Since he decided he enjoys baths from our time on Getaway, and since Haven has a bath menu complete with cocktails to complement the chosen bath, I think giving him a copy of that menu would be a nice distraction--at least for a few minutes.
The Sauna Spa Suite Thalassotherapy thing is still kinda up in the air. I was under the impression he really wanted it, but now I'm just not sure anymore. For myself I don't think I can tolerate a warm, warm room for hours at a time like he can. My flashes may have diminished quite a bit, but I'm not gonna find out how they stand up to heated tile loungers either! But that doesn't mean I don't want him to get it even if I don't. I'm quite sure I can find other ways to spend that money. Muhahahaha
While I'm thinking about it, I think today I'll make the score cards for the water slide, rock climbing and whatever other athletic contests my friends in roll call decide to try. I may not be able to partake, per se, but I'm a great cheerleader and judge! ;)
